DUBROC
The DUBROC family of Avoyelles stems from Joseph Dubroc II, a native of the German Coast of Louisiana.
Joseph II married Marie Jofferoin, daughter of Joseph Jofferoin I and Marie Jeanne Rabalais. Marie was born on January 10, 1765.
Joseph II was the son of Joseph Dubroc I and Marie Jannet of the German Coast. Joseph I was a native of France. There was issue of nine children from this marriage. It is not known just when Joseph II and family moved to Avoyelles. His name is not mentioned in the Avoyelles census of 1785, but is mentioned in land transactions of 1793. Joseph II and Marie were both deceased by 1826.
